Thanks so much..... You make learning fun!

  • Thank you for this very beautiful sounding chord progression. Would you please tell us the tempo that we should use as the target tempo for this practice.

  • Thank you so much ! I love it !

  • I just want to learn your raw clean and naked version of Can't help falling in love from Elvis. I wish you could teach me that. Cuz i already know most of the theory eventhough im playing for 8 months.....

  • Getting into treading water now! But you make it sound simple.
Shall watch it more times to get F and G major chords correct.
Thank you, Thomas for taking all the trouble .
    Take care

  • It was very clear. Thank you Thomas. I am looking forward your lessons.

  • Mathilda Sumartanti says:

    Thanks for You Thomas

  • Michelle Roth says:

I am playing on a 61 key Huntington model KB61 keyboard, I am confused.... The chords you are playing go to the right of your piano keys. If I do the same, the last two chords sound HIGHER. The F and G chords I play do not sound like yours? What am I doing wrong?

  • Michelle Roth says:

Wait a minute......I think I just fixed my mistake. I was trying to play the F chord with my thumb on the F,

  • Michelle Roth says:

I have figured out my mistake. I was playing the F and G chords starting with my thumb (firstfinger) on the F and the thumb on the G instead of the inversion chords!!!!!!!

  • Thank you so much, you are a very talented teacher. I am practising this lesson with my 11 years old son. Can't wait for tomorrow :).

  • dan piano moi says:

  • I love yourlessons very much !
    Thank you Thomas!

  • Sir Thomas, thanks again it's really fun playing it is a lot of practice but I am excited for the next lesson Godbless you for your patient....

  • My message is simple, THANK YOU THANK YOU . You make this fun, easy and able to actually play a song fast. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent.

  • I like the song. Does it have a name?

  • Alka Athanikar says:

I love the way you teach Thomas. I have always wanted to learn piano, but never had a chance until I stumbled upon your video a few days ago. I was looking for a video on how to play Fur Elise for my 8 year old daughter to learn. Your way of teaching was broken down so simply that I ended up learning to play it along with her. I enjoyed it so much and now I am hooked. Thank you for helping me take that first step.

  • I have been learning guitar for 3 years, I am French-speaking (+ simple English) and I discover with interest your piano lessons accessible to people who have not learned music theory since guitar doesn't need either for it uses tablatures. Piano, the way you teach him, seems to me very complementary and useful. Your visual approach is awasome. Thanks a lot, Thomas, to devote your teaching to all who had never the chance or the time to go farther and who have to do with limited musical means.

  • deborah sauve says:

I'm learning more from you than with any other online course. I am a 62 year old great-grandmother and I have been wanting to learn to play my entire life. But of course, life always got in the way, but, now that I am retired I have all the time in the world, Thankyou for making it stress free. I was feeling so intimidated before, but not anymore. Big big thankyou.

  • Dave Dobson says:

    Hi Thomas,
Your course looks really interesting but I could not really buy it as I don’t have a dvd player. These devices are really dying out in this day and age with fast unlimited internet connections people don't want to clutter their houses with dvd and cd cases. Maybe you should think of streaming the course like jonny may does with piano for jonny. You would need a good internet yourself I suppose but would save on the production of DVD’s snd bring in a whole new set of people. Food for thought

  • Thanks Thomas for this lesson 5. Waiting for the next lesson

  • Shirley Mims says:

I am enjoying my lesson and I am learning so much. Thank you for sharing the lessons that you learned. Thank you so much.
I am 75 and I learned some chords but these lessons are teaching me so much more. I so want to be able to play in church.

  • I have a small keyboard which only has 32 keys but I've been following your lessons and it has been amazing to play something on this little thing. Thank you for your amazing approach to teaching piano.

  • I'm learning and starting enjoy playing my keyboard. Thank you so much sir

  • the next lessons are not being sent to me for about three days now

  • Thank you Thomas...Happy to join your classes from Canada ...all is very clear...Time to practice now

  • Thank you Thomas, I’m learning a lot from your video lessons, my 70 year old fingers are having a good work-out!

  • David Clapham says:

Hi I received part 1 of song on Wednesday but have not as yet received 2nd part.

  • Hi Thomas.. i am really happy that i have come across your piamo lessons. I am having the free lessons at the moment, and i am really astonished by the way you present them. I really am enjoying all this. Thank you so much.

  • stephen morrow says:

Hi Thomas, I really enjoy following your lessons which I think are beautifully crafted. I have a question for you. How far can I progress if I can' t use a foot pedal? I am paraplegic so have no use of my legs following a motorbike accident. I have a keyboard, so not a full piano but still enjoy following your lessons and learning stuff. Just concerned that I won't be able to play songs if I can't use a foot pedal. Is there a way around this? Sorry if I have rambled a bit.

  • Wanda Lockamy says:

How do I get the second part of this song

  • Mark Snyder says:

What is a good metronome beat to start with to learn this song? What setting is the song normally played at? Thank you Thomas. I have some music knowledge from guitar. Your lessons fit me perfectly. Bought my piano years ago and now I have nothing but time to learn to play it.

  • Can't wait for the next lesson. Thank you Thomas

  • Eda Arslan Kul says:

    Such a motivating teacher:)

  • Vicki McLennan says:

    Thank you Thomas,
I am what you call a green horn. I started trying to play piano earlier in the year using a piano music app but found it difficult to get the technique and understanding of how it all fits together, if you understand what I mean it was extremely confusing. I was youtubing lessons then I came across one of your songs. My enjoyment for piano was boosted.
But wow! I found with your tutorials everything comes together. You are great, keep it up.

  • Thank you very much, I enjoy every lesson, you make it easy to understand. Have a Blessed day.

  • Thanks Thomas wish you all the best .

  • Rolf Yngve says:

    Great Thomas !

Nice melody, I have missed my lessons today and tomorrow too. You see, I'm moving to another address.
Preparing is a better word. So I need to jump back and forth.

Sad to say, I need to finish Fur Elise too.

    See you Thomas
    Rolf

  • Nabin Jyoti Tuladhar says:

    Thank you Thomas. Nice melody.

  • Thanks for this amazing tutorial.. I'm waiting for the next lesson.. Hope I do it well Thanks a lot Thomas, you are a great Piano teacher!

  • Timothy Washburn says:

Thomas...I am beyond thankful I found you. Your lessons are amazing. I started about 10 days ago with your Fur Elise lessons and I am about half way through it and I can actually play it with both hands !!!! Oh and I am 64 years old. It is great for my mind and hands and soul. I will continue and see how far I can go. You are an amazing person and teacher!!! Thank You

  • Wait, you just taught us the chords, then here the chords looked totally different and you called them inversions. The f chord suddenly had a c on it. What? Sorry, wish you hadn't just sprung that on me. Confused.

  • Hi! Thomas! Discovered you recently and love your simplicity and the time you take to teach slowly, very important for beginners !I have to pause the video constantly to try to write the notes down you have inverted a couple note on this one too.. lol....a bit complicated for beginners ... but it would be so Great if you could show the names of the notes on the colored notes above or include a sheet or link below with the notes like C =CEG EMI=BEG. ect.......Thank you so much for all the time you take in doing these videos and I really hope with your good advise ,to be able to play a full song !

  • annette Brennan says:

Thank u Thomas..now at 73 maybe I will finally learn to play...something good has to come from covid!

  • Hafiz-ul Islam says:

Hi Thomas. I'd just like to say a big thanks for taking the time to give newbies piano lessons.
I'm not totally new to keyboards. I do have 2 Roland synthesizers that I mess about on and a Roland digital piano which is being put to use on your excellent, fun way of learning piano. I know the absolute basic keyboard skills and can play triads with inversions so what you taught today is easy for me, but I do remember when I first started playing triads, I found it a little difficult at first, but with a little practice, it gets so much easier. I love what you taught today and look forward to the next lesson. Thanks again.
    Hafiz-ul Islam

  • Bronwyn Britz says:

I am from South Africa. I first did your Fur Elise lessons - which were great. I really thank you for being so patient with us ! And putting these lessons together ....
Please may you do an English version Kiss the rain?

  • Daniel Cupido says:

Thank you Thomas I love this

  • Hi Thomas I am 84 years old and am trying to learn how to play my piano. It takes me a little longer than others but I want to learn. I missed lesson 3 so I wander how I can get it back.Im enjoying them so far. Thank you!

  • Hi Thomas,

I am beginner only. How to begin study??

  • The piece sounds beautiful what I can hear of it. The video keeps starting and stopping so often I can't get the entire piece to play continuous.

    • Hello Geo,

I'm sorry to hear about the video playback issue you're experiencing. This could be due to a slow internet connection or high server demand. I'd recommend trying to refresh the page, or possibly watching at a lower resolution if your platform allows it. If the problem persists, let me know so we can find a solution. I hope you'll soon be able to enjoy the piece uninterrupted!

      Best regards,
      Thomas

  • Ma. Lourdes Nadres says:

  • Donald ross says:

I need to what scales you are playing in, you were going to fast.

    • Hi Donald,

I apologize if the pace was too quick for you. I appreciate your feedback and will ensure to slow down in future lessons for better understanding. In the meantime, feel free to pause and replay the video as often as you need to catch each scale. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for your patience and commitment to learning.

      Best,
      Thomas

  • Ariane VINCENT says:

Hello, Thomas, I wanted to tell you with my poor French that I am really enthusiastic for your lessons and your way to teach, always smiling . I tried to find on the net, for several weeks now, how to improve my piano that I learned when I was 7 to 10. Now I am 57 but very motivated to be able to play and enjoy playing piano. I think I found now with your method. .
Ps: I am trying to learn rivers flows in you but I think it's a little bit hard... Do you think I have to wait? Any way, thanks a lot.

    • Bonjour Ariane,

Thank you for your wonderful comment. I'm thrilled that you're enthusiastic about the lessons! As for "River Flows in You", it's okay if it seems hard right now. Every step you take is progress, even if it doesn't feel like it. Take it slowly, one note at a time, and don't be hard on yourself. Piano is a journey, not a race. Your persistence and love for music will surely get you there.

      Merci et bonne chance,
      Thomas

  • Thanks again, can’t wait for the next lessons,,

    • Hi Sartiman,

    • Thomas Forschbach says:

      Hi John
great that you join in the piano crash course.
It is good to do the exercises also with the left hand. With regular practice the left hand will get better.
